Serves 4/makes 8 smores
16 plain biscuits or crackers
8 large chocolate squares
8 large marshmallows
4 tbsp chocolate spread
Tilly Note: It goes without saying, if you’re going to toast your marshmallows over an open flame be incredibly careful. Make sure you use a long toasting fork or a skewer and oven gloves.
Toast the marshmallows on a skewer over a flame, or on a baking tray under a hot grill for under a minute. Turn them frequently to ‘cook’ evenly – you want them to be caramelised but without getting burnt. They should be nice and melted in the middle but be careful, that gooey centre is very hot!
Place a chocolate square on a biscuit, then add a toasted marshmallow (do this quickly so the heat of the marshmallow will melt the chocolate), and top with another biscuit. Press them firmly together to make a super tasty ‘sandwich’.
If you like, you can add an extra chocolatey hit by spooning a little chocolate spread on the insides of your biscuits.
